Frequently Asked Questions

What is required when I fill out an application?

You will need photo ID (passport, drivers' license, BC ID, citizenship card) and a secondary piece of ID (credit card, SIN card, or any of the previously mentioned items). You will also need your landlord and employment contact information as well as two personal references.

Is a parking stall included in the rent and can I have more than one stall?

Parking is not included in the rent, but subject to availability, you may have more than one stall.

How many people can live in a suite?

A maximum of four people in a two bedroom suite, three in a one bedroom suite and two in a studio. (Yes, a baby is counted as a person!)

Is transit easily accessible?

Yes, there are bus stops directly in front of the towers. A ten minute bus ride gets you to either the Holdom or Lakecity Skytrain stations and the Sperling station is about a 25-minute walk.

Is it possible to have in-suite laundry?

No, however there are large, bright laundry rooms on the main floor of each tower. The machines were recently upgraded and are Smart Card operated. There are six front-load washers and seven dryers in each building. The Smart Cards can be loaded with a credit or debit card at the terminals located in the laundry rooms.

Are pets allowed?

Pets, other than service animals, are not allowed on the property and this includes visitors too.

Is a lease required?

Yes, a one year lease is required. If you do have to move before the term is up we will deduct liquidated damages from your security deposit. As long as we receive proper notice, the lease would be terminated when the suite is returned to us.

Is smoking allowed?

Effective February 15th, 2017 Montecito became a Designated No-Smoking property. Smoking in suites, balconies and common areas is not permitted. All new tenants will be required to sign tenancy agreements that include a no-smoking clause.
